The Moment 58mm T-Series is one of Moment’s bestselling lenses for a reason. On non-Pro iPhones, it gives you something close to a standard/short-telephoto field of view without relying only on digital crop. With newer phones, it creates a pleasing look with a more natural shallow depth of field, especially for portraits and details.

On iPhone Pro models, it can be used similarly over the main camera, with one major advantage over the built-in 2x crop: you can keep the 48MP file instead of dropping to 12MP, leaving more room for cropping in post. You can also mount it over the telephoto lens for extra reach, but image quality will decrease.

It is small enough to fit in a pocket or pouch, easy to mount on a Moment case, and can also be used without a Moment case with the lens plate that sticks directly to the phone. It is not a magic replacement for a real 58mm lens, but it makes the iPhone feel more intentional as a camera.

The Good:

• Gives the iPhone a more intentional normal/short-telephoto perspective.

• Creates more natural subject separation than the standard iPhone lenses.

• Lets you avoid relying only on digital crop for a tighter field of view.

• On Pro iPhones, it can help keep a 48MP capture instead of using the 12MP 2x crop.

• Small enough to become an everyday pocket accessory.

• Easy to mount and remove with a Moment case.

• Can be used without a Moment case with the stick-on lens plate.

• Filters can be mounted in front with the Moment 67mm Lens Filter Mount.

The Bad:

• On newer iPhones, the T-Series I version can be quite soft.

• Colour aberrations and purple fringing can appear, though some of it can be corrected in post with lens correction profiles.

• Quality drops if you use it over the built-in telephoto lens for extra reach.

This is the third version of this Moment tele lens line. First there was the 60mm, then the 58mm M-Series, then this 58mm T-Series. In summer 2026, Moment released the T-Series II versions, rebuilt from the ground up for newer phones with larger camera modules.

If you use a recent phone, especially iPhone 15 and up, I would recommend the newer T-Series II version. You may find the T-Series I for cheaper, but the newer version should better address the softness, colour aberration, and edge-performance issues that can show up on recent iPhones.
