ONA

The ONA Bowery is a small, stylish camera bag designed mostly for street photographers and compact camera kits. It makes the most sense with smaller digital cameras, Fujifilm or Leica-style setups, and 35mm film cameras. Do not plan on packing a Canon R1 or a big zoom in this.

I initially bought one for my dad so they could carry a film camera, but every time I saw it, I kept thinking I needed one for myself. It was never a priority until one appeared on the used market close to home at a good price, so I decided to grab it.

I use it as a minimal bag for my Nikon F3 with one or two lenses, plus a few small accessories like extra film rolls, a pen, notebook, and filters. There are plenty of more technical bags in this size, but the Bowery is not really about maximum features. It is more about having a clean, low-profile camera bag that looks good and does not scream “camera bag.”

The Good:

• Stylish and low-profile.

• Great for small camera kits and film cameras.

• Easy shoulder-bag access.

• Good for city walks, casual shoots, and travel days.

• Does not look overly technical.

• Works well when you want to carry less and keep things simple.

• Available in several colours and looks.

The Bad:

• Fairly expensive.

• Hard to find outside the ONA website.

• Too small for larger bodies or big lenses.

• More about style and simplicity than technical features.

• Get it if you want a stylish small camera bag for film, rangefinder-style, or compact mirrorless kits.

• Get it for city walks, casual shoots, and low-profile carry.

• Get it if you care as much about how the bag looks as how it functions.

• Pass if you carry large lenses or bigger camera bodies.

• Pass if you need backpack comfort or a more technical camera bag.

• Pass if you want the most storage and organization for the price.
