The Nikon SB-12 is the natural dedicated flash for the Nikon F3. It is a vintage flash, so it is not as convenient as a modern TTL system, but it matches the F3 beautifully and keeps the kit period-correct and functional.
I originally bought mine as a working prop for a short film and only used it a handful of times afterwards. In practice, I found it a little too heavy and awkward for real-life shooting. If I know I need flash photography, I will most likely reach for a digital setup instead.
