ABOUt ROBIN

I grew up in France. Where exactly? Well, it depended on the season, really. From the French Alps to the Mediterranean coast and the countryside west of Paris, we spent most of our free time travelling, skiing and exploring the Golden Islands. I always had a passion for the arts and tried several of them, often failing, until I followed a family passion for photography. I started taking photos over fifteen years ago on a mobile phone. Over the years, it became more of a passion- a call to document the places around me today that may look different tomorrow. As technology blurred the line between photography and videography,I dabbled with video and soon entered the limitless world that is filmmaking.

After years of balancing full-time jobs with secondary gigs, I left the 9 to 5 world and started Robin Ferand Studio. Since the response has been incredible, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.

When I am not on assignments, I am most likely exploring the West Coast of British Columbia, the Canadian Rockies or my homeland. I am stirred to create every day. Whether through photography, making films or even writing, this is how I experience every bit of life.

ROBIN’s EXPERIENCES

  • It started as a full-time position as a videographer and photographer at a successful media production company in Vancouver, BC. Fresh out of film school, I was suddenly in the middle of large video productions for Canadian and international brands such as PWC, BC Tech, and The Polygon Art Gallery.

  • I spent one year working as a video producer for an internationally renowned private company in Pitt Meadows, BC. As a part of their marketing team, I discovered the other side of the spectrum. Once on the hired media production side, I was now on the brand side.
